    Position Details

    This position is full-time, 10:30am - 7pm.  Must be able to work every other weekend and alternating holidays.  Wage based on experience plus full benefits.  Prefer individual have at least 2 years of cooking experience in a healthcare or restaurant environment.   Individual must take pride in putting out a quality product for our residents.  Individual must be able to read, write & speak effectively in English.  Must be able to work in a hot environment & be able to stand for up to 8 hours.  


    • Prepare food items using standardized recipesDetermine food and supplies needed and coordinate meal production with serving hours
    • Prepare all special dietary needs as directed by the Resident Menus
    • Practice all safety and loss prevention procedures
    • Responsible for following all local, state, and federal policies regarding food handling
    • Assist with proper documentation of temperature logs, taste panel forms, and cleaning schedules
    • Other duties as assigned or may be necessary in an organization having overlapping roles and responsibilities


    Education and/or Equivalent Experience


    • Minimum of two years experience as cook preparing full line of menu items
    • Able to read, write, and follow written and verbal instructions in English
    • Able to prepare therapeutic/modified diets
